BURRILLVILLE – A new restaurant serving fresh seafood dishes along with hard and soft serve ice cream is getting ready to open in Pascoag.

1180 Catering will open at 1180 South Main St. in a vacant building that previously held Sharon’s Country Kitchen.

Former owner Sharon Cardin-Prochniak sold the 2-acre property last January for $299,000 to J & J Property Management, LLC. The single-story 1,932-square-foot building features a large parking lot and a small patio, with space for potential outdoor seating.

Records filed with the Secretary of State show James Alexion of Pawtucket as the registered agent for the property management company, and John Alexion is listed on the articles of organization for the business 1180 Catering in Pascoag, submitted in December of 2022.

According to the town’s Building and Zoning Department, the new owners applied for their first permit in April of 2023, and have been renovating the structure since, also submitting plans for mechanical and electrical improvements. The business now has a new kitchen, bathroom and dining room and is moving closer to final inspections.

The owners had initially anticipated opening in fall of 2023, but have run into some delays including reported hold ups with the fire suppression system.

The restaurant already has a website, and a new sign recently went up outside the building advertising, “1180 Catering, Seafood Shack, Creamery.”

“Stay tuned for the grand opening of our seafood haven,” the website notes, listing items such as shrimp, crab cakes and a wide variety of ice cream flavors, from French Vanilla to Cowabunga Crunch, available for take out.

Town Clerk Vicki Martin said that she has not yet received any applications for new licenses for the business.
