Lodge closure

The Burrillville Parks & Recreation Department has announced that the Beckwith Bruckshaw Lodge at 50 Lodge Road, will be closed from Monday, July 1 through Sunday, July 7 due to floor resurfacing.

Taco break

The Taco Shop at 459 Chapel St. closed for a three-week as of Saturday, June 29. The business will reopen on Tuesday, July 23.

July 4

Town Hall will be closed for Independence Day on Thursday, July 4 and there will be no trash or recycling collection in the town of Burrillville. All trash pickup will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week.

Gun raffle

Wallum Lake Rod & Gun Club is holding a 31 gun raffle in August, with winners to be drawn every day next month. Tickets cost $20 and can be purchased by calling (401) 568-7171 or emailing [email protected]. A list of the prizes can be found here.

Free concert

The Riverwalk Concert series kicks off on Saturday, July 6 with a free concert at the Stillwater Mill pavilion in front of Jesse Smith Memorial Library at 100 Tinkham Lane. This week, Jesse Liam will perform starting at 6 p.m., and guests are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the free show.

Town meetings

The Burrillville Board of Canvassers will hold a meeting on Monday, July 1 starting at 10 a.m. at the town building at 105 Harrisville Main St. The agenda is here.
