BURRILLVILLE – Kids have a tendency to emulate what they see adults do during the course of any day. They are eager to copy actions of older siblings, teenagers and adults, not knowing these actions can put them in harm’s way.
It’s extremely important to keep keys away from kids, especially vehicle keys. Kids can get ahold of car or truck keys and use them to enter family vehicles parked in garages and driveways at the apartment or home. If they have watched an adult use them on plenty of occasions they could mimic what they have seen and attempt to start any vehicle motor and shift into gear. This could cause harm to themselves and others as well as damage property in the process. Keep keys high on hooks, on top shelves or in drawers away from kids. Never allow them access to any vehicle without adult supervision. Kids should stay far away from cars and trucks unsupervised. Keep kids safe.
