Charcuterie Workshop
Hill’s Tavern at 417 Putnam Pike will host a charcuterie board workshop on Wednesday, June 11 starting at 5:30 p.m. Guests are invited to sip and snack while they style their own board with Artisan Bites. Limited spots are available and seats must be reserved here.
Sip & Shop
The village of Chepachet will kick off new monthly Sunset Sip & Shop events this week, where guests are invited to stroll the area and explore merchants while enjoying complimentary beverages. The events will be held on Thursdays, June 12, July 10 and August 14 from 4 to 8 p.m.
Summer programs
The Glocester Recreation Department has announced that registration is now open for the town’s summer programs including basketball, flag football, swim lessons, mountain biking, running club, tennis, walking nights, and more. The programs are free or low-cost, and open to Glocester residents including activities for kids, teens and families.

Pro Wrestling
Also at Hill’s Tavern this week, Rhode Island Championship Wrestling will hold its annual “over the top rope battle royal event,” No Limitz on Saturday, June 14 starting at 6 p.m. Tickets cost $20 and are available at online or at the door for the all ages event, with admission free for
kids 12 and under.
The winner of the No Limitz Rumble will go on to face the RICW Universal Heavyweight Champion at RICW’s year end finale.
Scholars
Two colleges this week released a list of students who were named to the Spring Dean’s List the included scholars from Glocester.
Ethan Alexander, who is studying management, was named to the list Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, Conn.
The following Glocester students were also on the list from the Community College of Rhode Island: Christian Campanella, Carysa Bastien, Teagan Anderson, Tiffany Booker, Liberty Ericksson, Isabella McMahon and Alexa Pelicano.
Live music & yoga
Mulberry Vineyards at 95 Pound Road is now offering an outdoor yoga class every Sunday morning at 10 a.m. with Healing in Harmony, rain or shine, moving into the barn in the case of inclement weather. The class costs $22 for yoga and wine or $16 for just yoga. Participants should bring their own mat and water bottle.
This Sunday, John Rodgers Music will offer a show on the lawn at the vineyard for Father’s Day from 1 to 4 p.m.

The Glocester Housing Authority will hold their monthly meeting on Tuesday, June 10 starting at 7 p.m. in the community room at Pine Meadow at 56 Victory Highway. The agenda is here.

The Glocester Town Council is scheduled to hold a special meeting on Wednesday, June 11 starting at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall at 1145 Putnam Pike to discuss additional funding for the Glocester School Department with an agenda found here.
The Chepachet Fire District will hold its annual meeting on Saturday, June 14 starting at 8:30 a.m. at the station at 1170 Putnam Pike for a vote on resolutions found here. Voting will be followed by a meeting of the executive board starting at 9:30 a.m. for an agenda found here.
The West Glocester Fire District will hold its annual meeting on Saturday, June 14 starting at 10 a.m. at the fire station at 2410 Putnam Pike. The agenda is here.
