Closing sale
Heirloom Evolution at 1195 Putnam Pike has announced that the business will be closing its brick and mortar location and will instead offer sales online at heirloomevolution.com. The store is now holding a closing celebration with discounts on all products through their last day of business on Sunday, June 29.
‘Champagne’ & yoga
Soulshine Center for Yoga & Healing at 1020 Putnam Pike will hold a celebration of International Yoga Day on Saturday, June 21 with an early morning practice complimented by non-alcoholic mimosas/bellinis, integrating a playful “sip and stretch.” Participants can register for the $15 class, ton take place from 7:45 a.m. to 9 a.m. here.
June Egg Hunt
Glocester Libraries will try once again to hold a much-delayed Easter Egg Hunt after two cancellations in April due to weather. The egg hunt will take place Saturday, June 21 starting at 11 a.m. on the lawn of Town Hall at () Putnam Pike. The event is open to children ten and under, and participants should arrive early, and bring their own basket or bag.
Family Fun Day
The Glocester Business Association’s 4th annual Family Fun Day will be held on Sunday, June 22 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Mulberry Vineyards at 83 Pound Road. The events will feature food trucks, a bounce-House with a water slide, a petting zoo, temporary tattoos, face painting, pony rides, a beanbag toss, sack races, crafts, a dunk tank, special guest characters, wagon rides and shopping with local artisan vendors. The group will also be collecting donations to benefit the Glocester Animal Shelter.
The public is invited to attend free of charge, and bring a chair or blanket, but some activities will require cash and there is no ATM on site.
Open farm
Rusty Buckle Petting Zoo at 138 Tourtellot Hill Road will hold an open farm day on Wednesday, June 18 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visit the petting zoo and enjoy tractor drawn hay rides and pony rides.
Town meetings
The Foster-Glocester Regional School Committee will hold a meeting on Tuesday, June 17 starting at 5:30 p.m. in the conference room of the superintendent’s office at 91 Anan Wade Road. The agenda is here.
The Glocester Planning Board meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, June 17 has been cancelled.
The Glocester Town Council meeting originally scheduled for Thursday, June 19 has been moved to Thursday, June 26.
