The Glocester Manton Library begins a new book discussion aimed at music lovers – the Rock & Roll Book Group on Tuesday, July 22, at 6 p.m.

Gayle Wolstenholme, the library’s director, will lead the discussion of the club’s first selection, Just Kids by Patti Smith. Smith’s memoir opens with the death of artist Robert Mapplethorpe, a close friend of Smith and former lover, and recalls their relationship throughout the book.

Just Kids won the 2010 National Book Award for Nonfiction. Copies of the book are available at the Glocester Manton Library.

Register online for this program at the library’s website, www.glocesterlibraries.org  or phone the Glocester Manton Library at (401) 568-6077.
