NORTH SMITHFIELD – A traffic stop on Eddie Dowling Highway on Sunday, Oct. 9 led to the arrest of two Woonsocket men, and seizure of a handgun and more than 90 ounces of marijuana by the North Smithfield Police Department.
According to a release from the department, officers stopped a vehicle around 10 p.m. and located 90.2 ounces inside the vehicle, along with the gun.
The driver, Corbin Hardin, 27, of Woonsocket, was charged with manufacturing/selling/possession with intent to sell schedule 1kg-5kg, and operating with a suspended driver’s license following the incident.
His passenger, Jovany Marino, 25, of Woonsocket, was charged with carrying a pistol or revolver without a license or permit.
Both men were released with a summons to appear in court on Tuesday, Oct. 18.
