AG charges Glocester man with child abuse

GLOCESTER –A man arrested by Glocester police in January has been charged with child abuse in Providence County Superior Court by the state Attorney General’s office.

Jeremy Wright, 37, is facing charges of second degree child abuse, according to a release from Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha.

According to Neronha, Wright was arrested by Glocester Police in January for physically abusing a child. The Glocester Police Department conducted the investigation, but the circumstances surrounding the incident have not been made public.

The suspect is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, June 12 for a pre-arraignment conference.
