BURRILLVILLE – A light breeze and bright sunshine throughout the morning on Saturday, June 15 brought out visitors to the Burrillville Parks & Recreation Department’s Old Time Family Fair, where old and young alike enjoyed yard games and the chance to gather with their neighbors.
It was welcomed weather after a year that saw the event twice cancelled by mother nature.

The festival is unique in that most booths at the Family Fair offer free information or items for kids, with sale of merchandise limited to those participating in the corresponding Burrillville Farmer’s Market. From oversized lawn games to visits with characters, many elements of the event are free for the families who attend.

The field and pavilion by Jesse Smith Memorial Library in Harrisville were teeming with visitors, talking with those running dozens of booths including the Burrillville Conservation Commission, the Burrillville Historical & Preservation Society, Pascoag Utility District, the Burrillville Lions Club and many more.
