BURRILLVILLE – Kids should never be allowed to play inside vehicles or anywhere near vehicles at any time, especially when they are alone.
Children should be watched and monitored at young ages in or around vehicles parked in driveways and parking lots. Unsupervised little kids can become trapped inside a vehicle or underneath a vehicle, putting them in harm’s way. If you are an adult and plan on driving your family vehicle somewhere, always walk around the vehicle if children live in your household or you are aware of children living on the same street as your home.
With nicer weather being forecasted over the coming weeks, little kids are more apt to play outside games such as hide and seek, and various other outdoor games, putting them potentially near neighborhood cars and trucks. It’s safer to quickly check around your vehicle before driving away to your destination, making sure kids are not in any danger. Honk your horn once if there are small pets in your neighborhood that may take safe haven under the hood or in wheel wells during hot days.
It takes a moment to keep pets and children safer. Buckleupallofus wants to remind adults to always boost up and buckle up your kids in backseats for safety sake all yearlong.
