The first event in Burrillville to be held in celebration of the nation’s 250th birthday will take place on Wednesday, July 23, with an outdoor presentation on the history of Spring Lake Beach. Guests are invited to bring chairs, blankets and snacks to the free event, and concession stands will also be open for refreshments. Arrive as early as 6 p.m. to the beach at 50 Old Hillside Drive to visit with friends and check out the arcade and museum, with the presentation to begin at dusk.

Plant ID walk

Join the Burrillville Conservation Commission on Thursday, July 24 for a Plant ID walk with Burrillville-based herbalist Jennifer Phillips of Jenza’s Garden. The walk will take place on the trails behind Beckwith-Bruckshaw Lodge at 50 Lodge Road starting at 6 p.m. Attendees are asked to park away from the building close to the trailhead.

Fountain Square concert

The Fountain Square concert series will feature Musical Memories with John & Linda on Friday, July 25 with a free show by the fountain on Main Street in Pascoag from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Catch the duet playing music by Simon & Garfunkel, Willie Nelson, John Denver and more, while you visit the village bars and restaurants.

Film screening

The Assembly Theatre at 26 East Ave. will team up with director Jeremy Workman, known for the file Secret Mall Apartment, for a screening of The World Before Your Feet on Saturday, July 26 starting at 1 p.m. The showing will be followed by a Q&A with star of the film, Matt Green, and then a walk around the local area of the theatre in the spirit of the film.

Riverwalk concert

The Riverwalk Times Concert Series continues this week with a performance by Whiskey Rhode on Saturday, July 26 at the Stillwater Mill Pavilion starting at 6 p.m. The Dinolicious food truck will be on site and visitors are invited to bring blankets and chairs to enjoy the free show.

Assembly of Food Trucks

PVD Food Trucks will be on the grounds of the Assembly Theater at 26 East Ave. on Sunday, July 27 from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Visit with a variety of vendors for food and libations while enjoying live music by Kaitlyn Tarro Band. More information can be found here.
