BURRILLVILLE – Congratulations to the Burrillville Little League baseball team for a great season and for winning the Rhode Island State Little League Championship. The Burrillville Little League last won the state championship more than 50 years ago in 1972. Great job!

This baseball safety coloring cartoon encourages kids playing the game of baseball to limit their pitches in order to avoid arm and shoulder injuries, strains and pains. Kids should also remember to drink plenty of fluids in order to help reduce the risk of muscle cramps and spasms while playing the game of baseball, especially on very hot days. This area has a weeklong forecast of extreme heat and humidity once again, after a stretch of pleasant weather conditions. Kids should play baseball in a safe environment and take precautions to help prevent injuries and avoid heat related issues by staying hydrated and take breaks often.

Make sure kids play it safe all summer season.
