
Owl talk
Join the Burrillville Land Trust on Tuesday, August 19 for a free discussion about all things owls and night time birds of prey with Laura Carberry from the Rhode Island Chapter of the Audubon Society. The talk will take place at Jesse Smith Memorial Library at 100 Tinkham Lane from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. as part of the trust’s yearlong celebration of its 25th anniversary.

T.O.N.E.
The Assembly Theatre at 26 East Ave. will host Theatre Orchestra of New England on Friday, August 22, performing Holst “Planets,” Disney classics and John Williams. Tickets cost $15 online or $25 at the door for the show, with doors to open at 6 for the 7 p.m. concert.
Giant yard sale
The First Universalist Church of Burrillville at 134 Harrisville Main St. will hold a giant yard sale on Saturday, August 23 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. All proceeds will support the preservation of this historic church.

Final concert
The final concert in the Riverwalk Times concert series will take place this week with a performance by the Jesse Liam Band on Saturday, August 23 at the Stillwater Mill Pavilion starting at 6 p.m. The Not Your Average Popcorn food truck will be on site and visitors are invited to bring blankets and chairs to enjoy the free show.
Food trucks
PVD Food Trucks will visit the Assembly Theatre at 26 East Ave. on Sunday, August 24 for the Assembly of Food Trucks from 4:30 to 8 pm., bringing a variety trucks, libations and live entertainment to the grounds. Visitors are invited to bring chairs and blankets, and enjoy the evening with family and friends.

Town meetings
The Burrillville 250 Commission will hold a meeting on Monday, August 18 starting at 7 p.m. at the Lees Safety Complex at 1477 Victory Highway. The agenda is here.
