Craft Shack reopening
Small Town Craft Shack is scheduled to reopen this week following a brief hiatus to relocate to a new space in Pascoag. The business will open at 70 Pascoag Main St. on Thursday, Oct. 9 and will have hours going forward on Thursdays and Fridays from noon to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Bronco 5K
The Burrillville Prevention Action Coalition will hold its annual 5K walk/run on Friday, Oct. 10 starting at 6 p.m. at A.T. Levy Elementary School at 135 Harrisville Main St. The event will also include a Kids Fun Run starting at 5:45 p.m. Registration, found here, costs $35 plus a $4 sign up fee for adults or $15 plus the fee for public safety members, students, teachers and BHS alumni.

Learn to Skate
Registration is now open for the Burrillville Junior Hockey League’s Fall Learn to Skate program, with a session to run from Saturday, Oct. 18 through Sunday, Dec. 21. Registration costs $230 for Saturdays and Sundays or $120 for one of the days every week.

Homecoming parade
The Burrillville High School Homecoming Parade will take place on Saturday, Oct. 11 stepping off from Eccleston Field on Callahan School Street at 11 a.m. and ending at the high school on East Avenue. The parade will be followed by the Broncos homecoming match against Woonsocket at Alumni Field starting at noon.
Attendees are asked not to park on the field side of Callahan School Street as the area is reserved for floats.
Sleep right
Burrillville Seventh Day Adventist Church will hold an Abundant Life Presentation on Sunday, Oct. 12 dubbed “Sleep Tight, Sleep Right,” starting at 2 p.m. Learn from retired sleep clinician Joe Williams about strategies to improve your sleep. A meal will be provided at the free event at the church at 854 Victory Highway.

The Burrillville Planning Booard will hold a meeting on Monday, Oct. 6 starting at 7 p.m. in the community room of Jesse Smith Library at 100 Tinkham Lane. The agenda is here.
