
Fundraisers
A fundraiser to benefit Kerri and Kristen Green, who recently lost their home in a fire, will take place on Monday, Oct. 27 from 6 to 10 p.m. at Uncle Ronnie’s Tavern at 2692 Victory Highway. The event will include raffles, a pot luck dinner and DJ WiseVlad spinning tunes. Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased at George’s Pizza, The Western, Elayna’s and Dev’s Tavern.
Tickets are also on sale for a comedy fundraiser to benefit former Nasonville Fire Chief Gus Eddy at Cercle Laurier at 165 East School St. in Woonsocket on Friday, Nov. 7, with doors to open at 5:30 p.m. The event will include a cash bar and raffles, and funds raised will help with the family’s medical expenses. Eddy, who served with town fire departments for decades, recently suffered a stroke and is now also fighting cancer. Tickets cost $30 and can be purchased here.


Candlelight shopping
Dragon Flower Creations at 411 Chaple St. will offer candlelight shopping the week of Halloween with hours from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29 through Friday, Oct. 31. The store will have free candy and will be lit by candlelight only.
Heathers continues…
The Assembly Theatre’s presentation of Heathers The Musical continues this week with shows on Thursday, Oct. 30 and Saturday, Nov. 1 starting at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Nov. 2 starting at 2 p.m. Catch the adaptation based on the film written by Daniel Waters at the theater at 26 East Ave. for $25 by purchasing tickets here.
Quarterfinals
The JV football team will play Westerly on Monday, Oct. 27 and two Bronco teams have quarterfinals this week – the boys and girls soccer teams. The girls will play Providence Country Day in a 4 p.m. match at home on Tuesday, Oct. 28, and the boys team will take on Prout on Broncos turf at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30.
On Saturday, Nov. 1, cheer on the varsity football team in an away game versus Central starting at 1 p.m., and catch the girls cross country team and boys individuals in a state meet at Ponaganset starting at 2:15 p.m.

Halloween
Drive with caution on Friday, Oct. 31 as little ghouls and goblins hit the streets in search of candy.
For the adult witches and ghosts, there’s still time for a little spooky fun on Saturday, Nov. 1, when Toti’s Tavern will hold its Halloween party from 6 to 11 p.m. The event will feature prizes, drink specials and DJ Mad Dog spinning tunes.

Blackout
Regular tickets for Burrillville’s seasonal attraction, Haunted Gallows at 505 East Ironstone Road, are sold out, but the venue will host a special “Blackout Night” on Saturday, Nov. 1. Experience the haunted trails in the dark at a cost of $32 per ticket, plus tax, by choosing your time slot here.
Town meetings
The Burrillville Planning Board will hold a special meeting on Monday, Oct. 27 for reconsideration of the project to install synthetic turf at Gledhill Field. The meeting will be held in the auditorium of Burrillville High School at 425 East Ave. starting at 7 p.m. with the agenda found here.
