
Revaluation
The Glocester Tax Assessor’s office is notifying residents that revaluation has begun. Two representatives from Catalis will be around town conducting the state mandated statistical revaluation.
Those with questions or concerns are instructed to contact the Assessor’s Office at (401) 568-6206 option 3.
Blood drive
The Glocester Police Department will hold a blood drive on Thursday, Oct. 30 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Town Hall at 1145 Putnam Pike. Appointment times for the drive are full, but walk in donations will be accepted for those hoping to help save a life.
Hunting season
The Glocester Land Trust is reminding residents that it is now hunting season, and that hunting is allowed on several land trust properties for those who obtain a permit. Anyone on the trails is advised to wear a bright orange vest shirt or jacket through the end of the season in May.

Halloween
Watch out for costumed kiddos roaming the streets on Friday, Oct. 31 and don’t forget to stock up on candy to pass out to local ghouls and goblins. Family’s are invited to start their evening at Hill’s Tavern at 417 Putnam Pike for a pre-trick or treating pizza party with discounted pies available for those dining in starting at 4 p.m.
Adults are invited to return at 8 p.m. for a Halloween karaoke party with DJ Sergio with themed cocktails, food specials and a costume contest.
Fall Festival
Glad Tidings Community Church at 111 Victory Highway will hold its annual Fall Festival on Saturday, Nov. 1 from 10 a.m. to. 5 p.m., with food trucks, kids activities and more than 50 local vendors. The free, family event will also include the Rhode Island State Police and the chance for family photos.

Scouting pickup
As a reminder, Boy Scout Troop 44 Glocester will be picking up donations for the Scouting for Food program on Saturday, Nov. 1. Those who received door hangers are invited to place non-perishable food donations in bags for collection starting at 9 a.m. Those who did not receive a door hanger can also donate by bringing items to a drive through drop off at Chepachet Union Church at 1138 Putnam Pike from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
All donations will go to the Chepachet Union Church Food Bank.
Town meetings
The Glocester Recreation Commission will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 28 starting at 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall at 1145 Putnam Pike. The agenda is here.
