Open house/Neronha visit

The Burrillville Democratic Town Committee is inviting the public to an Open House featuring Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha on Wednesday, Nov. 19, starting at 6 p.m. at the Jesse Smith Library at 100 Tinkham Lane.

“AG Neronha has focused on some of Rhode Island’s most pressing challenges — including protecting the financial stability of hospitals, addressing the effects of private equity in healthcare, enforcing environmental laws, and holding polluters like Rhode Island Recycled Metals accountable,” the committee noted in a release. “As the state’s chief legal officer, his office prosecutes criminal cases, represents state agencies, drafts legislation, and works alongside attorneys general across the country — including in major multi-state actions against the Trump administration.”

As Neronha nears the end of his term-limited tenure, the event aims to provde an opportunity to hear his reflections on public service and his thoughts on what lies ahead, both for himself and for Rhode Island. The Open House also offers community members a chance to learn more about what town Democrats are working on, share ideas, and engage in meaningful discussions about local priorities and initiatives.

The committee will also be collecting food for the St. Patrick’s Church Food Pantry at the event.
