Football fundraiser

The Burrillville Republican Town Committee will be holding its annual Monday Night Football fundraiser on Monday, Dec. 1 at Toti’s Tavern at 8 Callahan School St. in Harrisville. The BRTC will provide food and collect donations to support local Republican candidates, at the New England Patriots take on the New York Giants. The event will take place from 7:30 p.m. until the game ends.

Cash donations are limited to $25 and anything more must be a check.

Blood drive

The Burrillville Police Department will hold a blood drive on Tuesday, Dec. 2 from 1 to 7 p.m. in the community room at 1477 Broncos Highway. Register to donate at ribc.org/drives using sponsor code 5060. Walk ins may be accepted as space permits.

Community Heroes Awards

The Burrillville Police Department’s annual Community Heroes & Awards Ceremony will take place on Thursday, Dec. 4 starting at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Burrillville Middle School at 2220 Bronco Highway. The public is invited to join Col. Stephen Lynch in recognizing outstanding actions by law enforcement as well as citizens.

The Nutcracker

The Assembly Theatre at 26 East Ave. will offer performances of The Nutcracker, with an evening of music and adventure featuring Tchaikovsky’s fairy ballet. The show will take place on Friday, Dec. 5 and Saturday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 7 at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $22 online and can be purchased here, or $25 at the door.

Christmas bazaars

St. Patrick’s Church at 45 Harrisville Main St. will host its annual Christmas Bazaar December 4 through 6 with raffles, a penny social, knitted items, a yard sale and more. Roger’s Kitchen will serve up meatballs, dynamites, hot dogs and salads on Thursday and Saturday, and chowder and clam cakes on Friday. Hours are Thursday and Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

First Universalist Church at 134 Main St. in Harrisville will hold its annual Christmas Bazaar and Antique sale on Saturdays, Dec. 6 and 13 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will feature Christmas décor, antiques and collectibles, elegant glassware, raffles, yard sale items and baked goods including homemade apple pies.

The annual Christmas Bazaar at Broncos Plaza will take place on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visit the plaza at 1452 Broncos Highway for carriage rides with New England Carriage Company; bounce houses; a petting zoo; free photos with Santa and the Grinch; vendors with handmade gifts; food trucks and more.

Santa at Stillwater

The Burrillville Parks & Recreation Department’s annual Santa at Stillwater event will take place on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 1 to 3 p.m., with gifts, cookies, donuts, photos, raffles and more. Santa will arrive via Harrisville Fire truck at 1 p.m. to the Stillwater Mill Pavilion in front of Jesse Smith Library at 100 Tinkham Lane.

The snow date for the event is Saturday, Dec. 13.

Brews for the Brave

Bravo Brewing Company at 75 Pascoag Main St. will host Brews for the Brave on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 1 to 5 p.m. Support Danielle Nicole in raising funds for the Boston Marathon in April 2026 to go to her charity of choice: Homes for Troops. The event will feature music by Jesse Desorcy, raffles, a 50/50, and more, with the kitchen open and a full tap list. Bravo Brewing will be donating 10 percent of their sales.

The National Weather Service says the area will likely see snow Tuesday morning, which may alternate between rain and snow throughout the day.

Fill a cruiser

The Burrillville Police Department and the Burrillville Prevention Action Coalition will hold Fill-a-Cruiser on Sunday, Dec. 7 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., collecting donations to benefit the St. Patrick’s Food Pantry. The food drive will be held at Brigido’s Fresh Market at 54 Sayles Ave., with officers collecting non-perishable food items.

Collection baskets are also available at the police department for anyone looking to donate who cannot make it that day.

Holiday market

Solitude Massage Therapy & Wellness Center at 979 East Ave. will host a holiday market on Sunday, Dec. 7 from noon to 4 p.m. with local artisans and vendors. Visitors will have the chance to purchase unique hand-crafted gifts, festive treats and wellness products.

Town meetings

Clear River Energy & Water District will hold its annual meeting at the CREW business office at 253 Pascoag Main St. on Monday, Dec. 1 starting at 6 p.m. The agenda is here.

The Burrillville Redevelopment Agency will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 2 starting at 7 p.m. at Jesse Smith Library at 100 Tinkham Lane. The agenda is here.
