Winter concert

The Steere Farm Elementary School Chorus will hold a Winter Concert on Monday, Dec. 8 in the auditorium of Burrillville Middle School at 2220 Bronco Highway starting at 6 p.m. The event is open to the community and is the first in a series of upcoming school holiday concerts with several taking place next week.

Toys for Tots

Berard Desjarlais American Legion Post 88 will host its annual Toys For Tots collection on Saturday, Dec. 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Binns building at 111 Chapel St. Bring a new unwrapped toy and get a free picture with Santa, with Santa to arrive at noon. The event will also include a Hess truck raffle, a new flag sale, a coat drive and collection of new coats and toiletries for the RI Veterans Home.

Jingle Mingle

The Burrillville High School Music Boosters program will hold its annual Jingle Mingle craft and vendors show on Saturday, Dec. 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the cafeteria of the school at 425 East. Ave. Enjoy raraffles & foods for sale including hotdogs, baked goods, coffee and cocoa; and shop local crafters and vendors with crochet items, totes, cozies, t-shirts, candles, Holiday décor, wreaths, jewelry and more.

The event will include performances by band and choir with proceeds to help support the school’s music program.

Bingo night

The Downtown Pascoag & Neighborhood Association will host bingo night on Saturday, Dec. 13 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in the hall of St. Joseph’s Church at 183 Sayles Ave. Shop with vendors and win prizes at the event, which will also include a quarter auction. Tickets cost $10 for adults or $5 for children under 12.

SOS Big Band

The Assembly Theatre at 26 East Ave. will host SOS Big Band on Sunday, Dec. 14 with a show starting at 3 p.m. with holiday classics and jazz standards. General admission costs $15 with tickets available here.

Free tickets to the event are available to residents age 55 and older through a grant on a first come, first serve basis. To reserve, contact (401) 710-9463.

Candlelight Carols

New Hope Baptist Church of Pascoag at 65 South Main St. will host Community Candlelight Carols on Sunday, Dec. 14 starting at 5 p.m., a free family-friendly event. The event will feature music, narration, and audience participation, with refreshments to follow.

The Burrillville Recreation Commission will hold a meeting on Monday, Dec. 8 starting at 6:30 p.m. at Jesse Smith Library at 100 Tinkham Lane. The agenda is here.
