BURRILLVILLE – A man who crashed his motorcycle in Burrillville on Sunday was not wearing a helmet, according to police, and remains hospitalized with serious injuries.
Jonathan Dzialo, 33, of Slatersville was in a single vehicle accident in the area of 185 Sherman Farm Road according to police.
Burrillville police, and Harrisville Fire and Rescue personnel reportedly responded to the scene around 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, April 26 and found Dzialo lying in the roadway, conscious and breathing but with serious injuries, and a motorcycle at rest on its side.
“A preliminary investigation determined Mr. Dzialo was traveling northbound on Sherman Farm Road when he lost control of his motorcycle while negotiating a curve, causing his motorcycle to strike a vinyl fence and overturn his motorcycle into the roadway, ejecting him,” police noted in a release on the incident on Monday.
Dzialo was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for serious injuries to his head and shoulder.
The crash reportedly remains under investigation with the assistance of the Rhode Island State Police.
