GALLERY: Drummers keep time, librarians get slimed

BURRILLVILLE – Jesse Smith Memorial Library celebrated the success of their summer reading program on Saturday, Aug. 10 with a performance by the R.I. Bucket Drummers and a very messy reward for participants.

Librarians said that if 200 people completed the 2019 program, they would get covered in slime and the dedicated staff kept their word this week following completion by some 320 patrons.

A turtle by the river catches the performance.
