BURRILLVILLE – The Burrillville Parks and Recreation Department has announced that that town will offer the Safe Sitter Program from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 16.

The program will be hosted by the Hasbro Children’s Hospital at the Burrillville Middle School Media Center at 2220 Broncos Highway.

The one day program serves as valuable training for boys and girls who are currently working as sitters and those who may do so in the future. Lifesaving instruction on preventing and managing injuries, infant child CPR, caring for a choking infant or child, and rescue breathing is combined with helpful tips on managing difficult behavior and other problems faced by sitters or siblings.

The program is $50 and is open to young adolescents ages 11-14. This fee includes the Safe Sitter Manual.

As space is limited, pre-registration is required and is offered on a first come, first serve basis.

For more information or to pre-register contact at Robin Zaman 401-444-8009.
