Coaches vs Cancer
Support the lady Broncos as they take on North Smithfield on Tuesday, Feb. 4 with two games at the Burrillville High School Dome to benefit the American Cancer Society. The knockout tournament costs $5 and will include a 50/50 raffle with a JV game at 5:15 p.m. and a Varsity game starting at 7 p.m.
BHS Showcase
Burrillville High School will host a showcase of programs available at the school on Thursday, Feb. 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The event will feature the school’s Career and Technical Education Pathways, and is open to the public. Applications for the 2020/2021 school year are now being accepted.
Market preps for 2020 season
Punxsutawney Phil declared that early spring is on the way on Sunday, Feb. 3, and the Burrillville Farmer’s Market is getting ready.
Organizers will meet this week to discuss the weekly events, held at the Stillwater Mill Pavilion, and are now seeking the public’s feedback. They are also accepting new participants and volunteers, and hoping to find a meat vendor.

Bake & donate
Volunteers are seeking donated baked goods for a fundraiser next weekend to benefit For Pete’s Sake and Rosies Two, an organization that provides recreational opportunities for children and adults living with illness and disabling conditions.
Anyone able to help out is asked to drop off donated baked goods at East Coast Artisans at 78 North Main St. in Pascoag on Friday Feb. 7 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Town meetings
The Burrillville Planning Board will hold its regular meeting on Monday, Feb. 3 in the Jesse Smith Memorial Library Community Room starting at 7 p.m. The agenda can be found here.
