BURRILLVILLE – The Burrillville Parks & Recreation Department is now selling tickets for the town’s annual Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, a popular event held at the Burrillville Middle School each year.

The breakfast, catered by Uncle Ronnie’s Red Tavern, will be held rain or shine on Saturday, March 28 starting at 10 a.m.

The menu will include scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon, pancakes, donuts, muffins, juice, hot cocoa and coffee. Tickets cost $7 per person and can be purchased by contacting the Burrillville Parks & Recreation Department at (401) 568-9470 or via e-mail at [email protected]

Space is limited and advanced tickets are required by the deadline of Wednesday, March 11. No tickets will be sold at the door.

Guests will have the chance to decorate Easter cupcakes at the event, supplied by Dino’s Park-n-Shop. There will also be face painting and a craft activity provided by the Jesse Smith Memorial Library.

The Easter Bunny will be available for pictures.

The town’s annual egg hunt is also scheduled to take place that day, outside at Branch River Park next to the school. The egg hunt is open to Burrillville residents ages eight and younger, and starts at 11 a.m.

Guests are invited to look for the golden Jesse Smith Library eggs for a special surprise. Children participating need to bring a bag or basket to collect eggs.

The Easter Bunny will visit with youngsters, and raffle tickets will be available for $1 each, or 6 for $5, to win one of the many Easter baskets. All proceeds from the Easter basket raffles will benefit the Burrillville Weekend Snack Pack Program for local children in need.

Dan’s Management has donated donuts, muffins, coffee and hot cocoa for the event, and Dave & Buster’s has donated a raffle item including a Be Our Guest” certificate valued at $25 for food, beverages or power cards.

The Burrillville Parks & Recreation Department offered an early “thank you,” to the many volunteers who make the event possible each year.

A rain/snow date for the egg hunt only has been set for Saturday, April 4 at 11 a.m.

For more information, or if you would like to volunteer, call the Parks & Recreation Department at (401) 568-9470, or e-mail [email protected].
