BLT trivia night, events this week
Virtual events this week, put on by the Burrillville Land Trust, will offer residents an opportunity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Earth Day from their homes.
The first, a trivia contest with a chance to win gift cards, takes place tonight starting at 7 p.m.
On Tuesday, April 21, join natural history writer and lifelong birdwatcher Todd McLeish while he sheds light on some of the most popular and charismatic birds observed in backyards and parks in southern New England. Live streaming social begins at 1 p.m.
Wednesday, April 22, locals are invited to take a virtual hike and join members of the land trust and others walking around their backyards. Live stream begins at 11 a.m.
On Thursday, April 23 watch “PaulCooks,” with Roselli demonstrating how to make few different quick bread and a 15 minute pizza. The event will stream at 2:30 p.m. and again at 7:30 p.m.

Tax agreements
The Burrillville Finance Department has announced that payment agreements are available for those facing legitimate financial hardship. Those who are unable to make their quarterly tax payment are encouraged to call the tax collector at (401) 568-4300 ext 184 or email [email protected].

Guess the Bella dish
Watch Casa Della Calapai live on Thursday, April 23 starting at 7 p.m. for the chance to win a $25 dollar gift certificate to Bella Restaurant.
During the live stream, which can be seen on the restaurant’s Facebook page here, viewers will have the opportunity to guess what dishes Executive Chef Gio is preparing by looking at the ingredients.
Participants will have five minutes to post answers in the comments and can make one guess for each dish.

Support the students
Show your support for Burrillville High School and Middle School Class of 2020 by displaying a sign. East Coast Artisans Inc. at 78 North Main St., Pascoag is producing the signs, which can be ordered by calling 401-568-0357 to arrange for safe pick-up from a bin outside the shop door.
Signs are $15 each and come with a metal stand.
Town meetings
