BURRILLVIILE – Three men were arrested last week after Burrillville police discovered that an apartment building in Pascoag had been converted into a full-time marijuana grow house.
Police have not released the names of those charged in the ongoing case, but Col. Stephen Lynch said the arrests were the result of an investigation by department detectives, who obtained a search warrant out of 6th District court.
Officers conducting surveillance of the property at 198 Pascoag Main St. on Wednesday, April 29 executed the warrant against a male suspect around 1:20 p.m. Inside the building, they discovered 64 large marijuana plants, up to five and six feet tall, on the first and second floors.
Lynch said the only rooms not dedicated to the grow operation were a single kitchen and bathroom.
According to town property records, the building has been owned by Derek and Arenas Casiano since 2016.
The plants were seized, and on Monday, May 4, Lynch said two additional suspects were charged with crimes related to distribution from the property.
