BURRILLVILLE – Members of the Burrillville High School Class of 2020 celebrated their achievements with a parade through town on Friday, June 5, waving to hundreds of local residents who showed their support with gatherings in front yards and parking lots along the route.

The parade provided a connection with their peers and community during a time when rules aimed to reduce spread of Covid-19 cancelled traditional commencement services. The graduates received their diplomas in solitary walks across the stage at Levy Rink last week.

A festive, but quiet scene greeted the graduates at Burrillville High School this week.

Graduates took pictures for a video compilation of the private ceremonies to be released this week.

Locals decorated parked cars, houses and more to welcome the passing students.
