BURRILLVILLE – The Burrillville Historical & Preservation Society has announced that the organization is the recipient of a Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor partnership grant.
The $2000 grant was awarded to the society to purchase a computer to digitize its collection. Partnership grants were awarded to nonprofits within the Corridor striving to keep up or advance their mission during the difficult times of the Covid 19 pandemic.
The Society has an old, obsolete computer that is not capable of digitally storing the hundreds of photos that it currently owns.
BHC is a nonprofit that works closely with the Blackstone River Valley National Historical Park and provides services throughout the 25 towns of the National Heritage Corridor to complement the work of the park.
