Jesse Smith Memorial Library will host Virtual Storytime via Facebook Live on Wednesday, Aug. 5 starting at 11 a.m. Join librarians for 20 minutes of stories and songs. No Facebook account is needed to view the library’s page.
Pascoag Public Library is currently open by appointment only and has limited access for browsing, computer usage, & fax/copy access. Burrillville’s Samantha Tobin is in the running to become the next Ms. Health and Fitness in an online campaign running for the next four days.
Tobin, who runs Tobin-style bootcamp is currently in fourth place. To help her win, residents can vote daily here.

Burrillville Patriots Youth
Registration is still open for the upcoming 2020 season with Burrillville Patriots Youth Football and Cheer, and will remain so through Thursday, Aug. 20. The league plans to follow all the guidelines set forth by the Rhode Island Department of Health and the Center for Disease Control and practices will start on Tuesday, Aug. 18. The Burrillville Farmer’s Market continues this Saturday, Aug. 8 at the Stillwater Mill Pavilion from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The market accepts SNAP benefits, WIC, credit/debits along with cash.
Three summer programs offered by the Burrillville Parks and Recreation Department continue this week outdoors at the Stillwater Pavilion. The Burrillville Planning Board will hold their regular meeting via Zoom on Monday, Aug. 3 starting at 7 p.m. An agenda and instructions to attend can be found here.
The Burrillville Prevention Action Coalition will hold a virtual monthly meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 5 starting at 5 p.m. Burrillville residents are always welcome and an agenda and instructions to attend can be found here.
The Burrillville Town Council will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 5 starting at 7 p.m at the Wallace F. Lees Public Safety Complex. Members of the public can attend via Zoom with instructions and an agenda found here.
The Pascoag Fire District will hold a special meeting on Thursday, Aug. 6 starting at 7 p.m. at 141 Howard Ave. The agenda includes a vote to replace a heating system at the fire station for a cost not to exceed $92,000. Residents can also listen in by phone, with instructions found here.
