NORTH SMITHFIELD – The North Smithfield Police Department is expected to release details on an accident that took place on the Route 146 overpass early in the morning on Thursday, Sept. 3.
The crash, which happened around 1:30 a.m. according to reports, left one car on its side.
Police were reportedly at the scene on the highway overpass on Greenville Road for several hours cleaning debris from the roadway.
Police had not released information regarding the cause of the accident or status of the driver(s) as of Thursday afternoon.
