    The North Smithfield Food Pantry’s October dates are Saturday, Oct. 24 & Oct. 31 from 10 – 10:30 a.m. and Tuesday, Oct. 20 & 27 from 5:30–6 p.m.

Those who did not confirm North Smithfield residency with a valid photo ID and a second form of identification such as a phone or rent bill with a North Smithfield address in September are asked to bring these items with you in October.

The Food Pantry is a drive through at the Slatersville Congregational Church at 25 Greene St. Visitors should line up on Greene St. and will be directed into the parking lot, where food will be delivered into their cars. Everyone must wear a mask to receive food. Questions can be directed to (401) 678-0356.

Anyone who would like to help the pantry can donate money by mailing a check to P.O. Box 283, Slatersville, RI 02876. To donate food, call (401) 678-0356 to arrange a time for drop off. The pantry currently needs soups, canned tuna and chicken, canned fruit and juice, toilet paper and paper towels.

This month, the pantry is also seeking cereal and canned vegetables.
