This is the first time I have decided to write a letter to the editor in support or lack of support for a political candidate.
I live in nearby Smithfield and have been a keen observer of politics locally and for statewide races for many years. I am writing to you in support of North Smithfield Town Council candidate, John Beauregard.
I have directly observed his demeanor and work ethic since he graduated from the Rhode Island State Police Training Academy over three decades ago. It’s important for the voters of North Smithfield to know is that with John, what you see is what you get. John’s knowledge of government coupled with his decades of experience as a local business owner in town, provides him with a unique skill set to properly understand issues that are critical to the town’s success. He has integrity and is always open to listening to both sides of the issues, which is a great quality for anyone, especially an elected official.
With the current political climate we are in, I believe that voters are looking for someone that means what they say and is willing to take a position and support it.
I have observed John in different capacities over a long period of time and admire his dedication to his family and community.
