BURRILLVILLE/NORTH SMITHFIELD – Just days after a Super Bowl Sunday storm covered northern Rhode Island with more than nine inches of snow, a second bout of winter weather blew through the region Tuesday, Feb. 9, covering the area with another roughly three inches.
The storm created slippery, wet conditions for the evening commute and an overnight freeze is expected, with temps in the high teens by the morning hours.
Snow is expected to end between 7 and 8 p.m. in the northern part of the state.
Weather should be mostly clear for the remainder of the week, with the next storm scheduled to roll in on Sunday, Feb. 14.
