Class of 2021 fundraiser

A fundraiser for the North Smithfield High School Class of 2021 will be held on Monday, May 3 at Chili’s in Lincoln. Help out the senior class by ordering take out or dining in and mentioning the NSHS fundraiser. Visit the restaurant at 622 George Washington Highway in Lincoln anytime from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. 

Coffee with Jess

Sen. Jessica de la Cruz will host Coffee with Jess on Saturday, May 8 at Red White & Brew Coffeehouse at 601 Great Road at 9 a.m. Residents are invited to stop by ask a de la Cruz a question, meet the senator in person or just to say hello.

Anchor raises $50K for Crossroads

Anchor Subaru presented Crossroads Rhode Island with a check for $50,000 last week to help combat homelessness in Rhode Island as part of Subaru’s annual Share the Love event.

As part of the 13th annual fundraiser, Subaru donated $250 for every new Subaru vehicle purchased or leased between Nov. 19, 2020 and Jan. 4, 2021 to its customers’ choice of four participating national charities and two retailer-specific hometown charities. Anchor Subaru and its customers selected Crossroads as their local charitable partner in 2020.

Town-wide yard sale

Save the date for North Smithfield’s town-wide yard scheduled to be held Saturday, June 5. Residents can participate by holding an individual or multi-family yard sale at their homes. When you register with the Town Clerk, your location will be listed on the town website and in the weekly newsletter. Residents who want to take part must obtain a yard sale permit for $5 from the Town Clerk’s office at 83 Greene St., and are encouraged to contribute to the North Smithfield Food Pantry at that time. Yard sale addresses will be listed for permits obtained before Friday, May 28.

Th rain date for the event is Sunday, June 6.
