The Allied Veteran’s Council and the Burrillville Band hosted a Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 31 in Harrisville. If you missed the event, it was streamed live by resident Norman Desjarlais and can be watched here.
Berard Desjarlais American Legion Post 88 also reminds residents that the project to honor the town’s living veterans is ongoing with banners honoring veterans up to the early years of the Vietnam War. The group will be advertising for new veterans for Veterans Day, and when those honored pass away, the poster is given to the family.
