BURRILLVILLE – The Rhode Island Chevy Owner’s Association is helping to raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House by hosting a Friday night car show at McDonald’s in Cumberland every week.

This great car club attracts classic cars and trucks from all over the area, and this season they are also passing out brand new Buckleupallofus Cruisin’ Safety Coloring Cartoons to all kids who attend.

This week’s Sunday Cartoon is the same Bucky coloring cartoon they are passing out. The vehicles featured on the coloring cartoon for child passenger safety are a few of the RI Chevy Owner’s Association classic cars and a newer Camaro. These vehicle illustrations were requested by the association members.

If you have the time and would like to help a great charity take the kids to the show and enjoy all of the fun, including DJ Cruisin’ Bruce Palmer playing great oldies music every Friday.

Jim Weicherding is a Burrillville resident, and the founder and creator of an award-winning traffic safety effort Seasons of Safety. Weicherding contributes kids’ coloring cartoons, which can be printed and used to help parents discuss safety issues with their children. He has a long list of police officers and firefighters in his family and has worked with law enforcement and firefighters in a creative public safety capacity for more than two decades.
