The North Smithfield School Department's facilities team built a new cardio room and a new science classroom at the high school over the summer. The science classroom will make room for a new video and media studio coming this fall, according to a post on the district's Facebook page.

Little League

North Smithfield Little League Fall Softball and Baseball registration is now open. NSLL fall ball softball and baseball is a great way for players to try softball and baseball or gain additional experience, according to organizers. The fall program is for players who will be league age, 8 – 14, in 2022. It is a competitive program with players pitching and umpires. North Smithfield will inter-league with neighboring communities with the competitive divisions.

NSLL will also be offering a Coach Pitch House League for ages 6-8 year-olds. This is a great program for beginners looking to gain experience and build skills in a fun environment, organizers say. The season runs from September to early November.
