10-Week Club
The Burrillville Schools Alumni Education Foundation is running a 10-Week Club to raise funds for student scholarships and teacher grants that support and enrich educational opportunities for Burrillville students.
There will be a cash prize winner every week in the fundraiser, running from August 29 through October 31. Tickets cost $20 and are on sale through Friday, Aug. 27.

Trash delay
Due to Tropical Storm Henri on Sunday, there will be no trash or recycling pickup in Burrillville on Monday, Aug. 23 and pickup will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week. Residents are advised not to put carts on curbside until Tuesday morning to allow the town to clean up from the storm.

Pumpkin Fest accepting vendors
The Downtown Pascoag & Neighborhood Association is now accepting vendors, entertainment and sponsors for its upcoming Pumpkin Fest, to be held Saturday, Oct. 30 at 5 p.m. The Bridgeway in Pascoag. Those interested are asked to contact the organization via their Facebook page.

Bravo Brewing Company will have DJ music by DJ Vlad on Friday, Aug. 27 from 6 to 9 p.m., with The ISH food truck parked outside from 4 to 8 p.m. The Francesca’s food truck will be parked outside the brewery on Saturday, Aug. 28 from 4 to 8 p.m.
Tim Hart & George will perform at Johnny’s Victory Diner on Friday, Aug. 27 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Tickets are now on sale for Junie B. Jones the Musical Jr., to be held at the Assembly Theatre August 27-28. Laugh yourself silly with the Broadway Junior adaptation of Barbara Park’s beloved series. Tickets cost $20 and can be purchased on eventbrite.com. Learn more at assemblytheatre.org.

The Burrillville Redevelopment Agency will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 24 starting at 7 p.m. in the community room at Jesse Smith Memorial Library. The agenda can be found here.
