Figure skating
The Burrilllville Figure Skating Association is now accepting registrations for Learn to Skate sessions for skaters of all levels, including adults. The program will begin Sunday, Sept. 12 at Levy Ice Rink and costs $290 plus a $20 registration fee.

Audition notice
The Assembly Theatre will host auditions for roles in an upcoming production of Little Women, with performances scheduled for early December. The show includes roles for those age 13 plus and adults. Auditions will be held this week on September 7 8 and 9 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Lunch & Learn
Burrillville Aging Stronger will host a Lunch & Learn program at Wright’s Farm Restaurant on Wednesday, Sept. 15. The free event is open to town residents age 65 and older and will include vendors, prizes and a lunch of family-style chicken. The Burrilllville Police Department will be on site collecting unused prescription drugs.

Weekend entertainment
A new exhibit honoring the 20th anniversary of Sept. 11 begins at Jesse Smith Memorial Library this week, starting on Wednesday, Sept. 1. Read more about the commemorative exhibit here.
Johnny’s Victory Diner will host Paul Juneau Music on Friday, Sept. 3 on the outdoor patio from 6-9 p.m.
The Burrillville Farmer’s Market will take place at the Stillwater Mill pavilion in Harrisville from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 4.
Town meetings
The Oakland Mapleville Fire District will hold a special meeting on Thursday, Sept. 2 at 46 Oakland School St. starting at 4 p.m. for discussion of the budget for the upcoming fiscal year. The agenda can be found here.
