BURRILLVILLE – The owner of a winning lottery ticket sold at a Mapleville variety store has come forward to claim his $119,564 prize, according to Rhode Island Lottery officials.

A man from Glendale purchased the Wild Money ticket at Country Farms at 86 Main St. on Saturday, Aug. 28 for the Tuesday night drawing.

He was one of two winners to qualify for the jackpot with five correct numbers. The other ticket was purchased by a woman from Cranston at Speedway on Phenix Avenue.

The winners split the $239,128 prize equally, each receiving the $119,564.

The Glendale winner told lottery officials he plans to pay off his truck and put some money towards retirement.

Tonight’s estimated Wild Money jackpot is $22,000.  Tickets can be purchased until 6:50 p.m. each night for $1, and the drawing airs nightly at 7:29 p.m.
