BURRILLVILLE – It’s National Child Passenger Safety Month. Every year, the month of September is recognized for child passenger safety efforts taking place across the USA. Police departments everywhere are focusing on keeping little kids safer in the family car and truck.

This week’s NRI NOW Sunday Cartoon features the Buckleupallofus, “Boost Up! Buckle Up!” coloring cartoon message for kids, reminding them to always sit in booster seats and wear seatbelts whenever traveling in vehicles. Children should also always be properly restrained in the backseat and not in the front seat if they are twelve years old or younger. Front seats are very dangerous for children under twelve years because air bags can cause severe injuries when deployed during a vehicle front end crash. The safest place for a child to be seated in a vehicle is always in the back seat.

Over the next month, on Sundays, there will be a new Bucky Child Passenger Safety coloring cartoon for kids to color in, learn about buckle up safety and proudly display on the family refrigerator for everyone else to see. If you are a police officer, firefighter, school teacher, school nurse, librarian, pediatric nurse and doctor, or a parent, wanting to easily reach out to kids with creative artwork and safety messages about buckle up safety all month long, then these are excellent coloring cartoons you can print out, pass out and help keep kids safer in your own city, town and community.

Always remember; “Buckle Up All Of Us!”
