BURRILLVILLE – Get your costumes ready and have your trick-or-treat bags on hand.
The Jesse M. Smith Memorial Library at 100 Tinkham Lane in Harrisville, is hosting an all ages Halloween Boo Bash on Thursday, Oct. 28 from 5 to 7 p.m.
This free drop-in style event encourages kids, teens, and families to dress up in costume and trick-or-treat through the different departments of the library. On the first floor of the library, the Circulation Department and the Reference Department will hand out treats to those who visit during those two hours. The Children’s Department on the second floor of the library will have a festive gift for the kids who stop by.
Families with children are invited to visit the Riverwalk area behind the library building to participate in games and activities. Glow stick rings will be provided for kids to try their skills at a number of ring toss type stations. A special “Make Your Own Monster” grab & go craft kit for kids that includes playdough as well as lollipop ghosts will be available for kids who attend while supplies last.
In case of inclement weather, the children’s games, activities, and grab & go craft kits will be moved inside the library.
Costumes are encouraged.
