The North Smithfield Police Department is raising funds in hopes to purchase a therapy dog, and will play in a fundraiser hockey game on Saturday, Dec. 18 at the Rhode Island Sports Center on Eddie Dowling Highway. Watch members of the department take on North Smithfield High School alumni at the charity game, starting at 5:40 p.m. Tickets cost $10 and are available at the department at 575 Smithfield Road, at the door, or are free for children age 12 and under.
