Santa at Stillwater
Burrillville Parks & Recreation’s annual Santa at Stiilwater event will take place on Saturday, Dec. 4, with a chance to enjoy holiday treats and music, take part in raffles for the Burrillville Snack Pack program and visit with Santa. The events will take place at the Stillwater Mill pavilion from 1 to 3 p.m., with a rain date scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 11.
Santa will arrive by Harrisville Fire Truck and will have a small gift for every child on the “good,” list. Purchase Levy Elementary School students’ holiday cards and help bring Christmas to the Burrillville Animal Shelter by bringing food, treats and supplies to donate.

Adopt a Family
The Burrillville Police Department’s Adopt-a-Family program is now underway bringing Christmas to families in need throughout town with help from the community. The toy and gift drive has started late this year leaving a tight deadline for organizers to collect donations.

Christmas bazaars
The Burrillville High School Music Boosters will host the Jingle Mingle Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m at the high school at 425 East Ave. Purchase items from local vendors including handmade candles and soaps, woodworking, knitted items, jewelry and other unique items. There will be food and a raffle table, with all proceeds to benefit the BHS Music Department. Admission to the event is free and those who donate a canned good will receive a free raffle ticket.
The First Universalist Church of Burrillville is also holding a Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a snow date Saturday, Dec. 11. The bazaar will feature Christmas décor, gifts, books, antiques and collectibles, elegant glassware, local honey, penny social, yard sale items, and baked goods, including homemade pies. Learn about the history of Harrisville. The Burrillville Historical & Preservation Society will have old photos of the village on display, an exhibit about Austin T. Levy, and old maps. You will also be able to purchase copies of “Burrillville Revisited.”

The Assembly Theatre’s production of Little Women will take place at Burrillville High School this weekend, with shows Friday and Saturday, Dec. 3 and 4, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $20 and are also available now on Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/assemblyact-little-women-tickets-185699049857. The Burrillville School Committee will hold a budget workshop on Tuesday, Nov. 30 in the administration building at 2300 Bronco Highway starting at 5 p.m. The agenda can be found here.
