Santa returns - at the Stillwater Mill Pavilion for a festive holiday event on Saturday.

BURRILLVILLE – The holiday season was in full swing in Burrillville on Saturday, Dec. 4 as families gathered at the Stillwater Mill pavilion and Jesse Smith Memorial Library to enjoy activities and visits with Santa.

The Santa at Stillwater event was put on by the Burrillville Parks and Recreation Department, and Recreation Director Andrea Hall acknowledged four young volunteers who, “appeared out of nowhere,” and saved the day.

“I was short on volunteers this year,” Hall said. “These four girls wandered out and asked if they could help. We signed them up as Santa’s elves and they passed out presents. They were absolutely amazing and polite.”

Hall also acknowledged volunteers Sherri and Kayleigh Actis.

“Sherri is there for every event and is the coordinator for the Weekend Snack Pack Program,” Hall said. “She is behind the scenes at every event and makes all of the raffle baskets. We could not run the Weekend Snack Pack program without her.”
