BURRILLVILLE – Locals gathered at the Binns Building on Monday, Dec. 20 to send off supplies to communities in Kentucky that were devastated by a tornado last weekend.
In addition, a Rhode Island flag signed by every donor who dropped off supplies or a monetary donation was shipped, along with an American Flag. Rainbow Moving of Franklin, Mass. offered services and moving at no cost to assist the American Legion ship the items from Rhode Island to Kentucky.
A force of emergency vehicles including police and firetrucks escorted the supplies on the way out of town.
