NORTH SMITHFIELD – A 45-year-old North Smithfield man was arrested last month after entering the home of minors in hopes to meet up with a woman he said he met on Tik Tok.

Jamie Jenkins was charged with breaking and entering and disorderly conduct following the incident.

According to the arrest report, police were called to a home where four minors were staying at The Club at Dowling Village on Friday, Nov. 26.

Jenkins told officers that a female, who he met via Tik Tok, had invited him to hang out, telling him to purchase game gift cards so her children would be occupied and they could be alone together.

The occupants told police that around 10:30 a.m., Jenkins entered the home through an unlocked door without knocking, and they asked him to leave. They said Jenkins initially left, but returned to the home a few hours later, banging on the front door and attempting to gain entry.

According to one of the underage victims, Jenkins threatened to have friends wait outside the home for the next week for the girl who invited him there to exit, saying she would be, “taken care of.”

Jenkins was released with a $10,000 personal recognizance and has a pre-arraignment conference scheduled for March 2.
