Village meeting

Join Burrillville Park & Recreation Committee’s Senior Services program and The Village Common of RI on Wednesday, Jan. 19 for an informational session on the effort to provide free services to Burrillville seniors. The meeting will be held in the Jesse Smith Memorial Library community room starting at 10:30 a.m

Trash delay

Town Hall will be closed on Monday, Jan. 17 in honor of Martin Luther King Day and there will be no trash or recycling pickup in Burrillville. Pickup will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week. Question can be directed to the Department of Public Works at (401) 568-4440 ext. 12.

Vaccination clinic

There are still spots remaining for a vaccination clinic to be held at Jesse Smith Memorial Library on Tuesday, Jan. 18 from 3 to 7 p.m.

Both Pfizer vaccines for those 12 and older and Moderna vaccine for those 18 and up will be administered. To register visit https://rb.gy/tat4vn.

Valentine’s dance

Tickets are now on sale for the Burrillville Lions Club and Knights of Columbus Valentines Dance, to be held at Bella Restaurant on Sunday, Feb. 13 from noon to 5 p.m. The event will feature a chicken dinner and raffles, with live music by The Bel-Aires.

Tickets are $30 per person with all proceeds to benefit local charities, and can be purchased by contacting Tom Tatro at (401) 474-8251.

Town meetings

The Burrillville Conservation Commission will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 18 starting at 7 p.m. The agenda and instructions to attend virtually can be found here.

The Burrillville Senior Housing Exploratory Committee will hold a meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 19 starting at 5 p.m.The agenda and a link to attend via Zoom can be found here.
