Post 88 seeks sleeping bags, cots
Berard Desjarlais American Legion Post 88 is thanking all who have donated to the drive to help tornado victims in Kentucky for their generosity, noting that the group has collected all that is needed for a return trip around March 15, with the exception of a few items.
The post will continue to collect sleeping bags and sleeping cots, items that organizers note are still desperately needed. Monetary donations are also still needed to help with travel costs.
Drop off donations can be made by appointment, by visiting the Chapel Street post Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to noon, or at Lawrence Brothers Hardware. For more information, contact Commander Raymond Trinque at (401) 568-0858, (401) 651-5634 or [email protected].
