Do your kids love Dog Man and Captain Underpants by Dav Pilkey? The Jesse M. Smith Memorial Library, 100 Tinkham Lane in Harrisville, is hosting a drop-in style birthday celebration in honor of author Dav Pilkey on Saturday, March 12 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. This free event, held in the Children’s Department on the 2nd floor, is geared for kids ages 10 and under, and their families.
Each child will receive a Dog Man bookmark, an individually wrapped vanilla-flavored mini-birthday cake, and a raffle ticket for a Dog Man stuffed animal. Everyone is a winner when they take a turn at the Dog Man Disc Drop Game to win a Dog Man eraser, Dog Man pencil, or a Dog Man sticker sheet. Sign the super-sized birthday card for Dav Pilkey and take your picture in front of the Captain Underpants backdrop.
